When initially joining a network marketing company you are provided with a generic company website. At which you can showcase your company's products, benefits, and compensation plan. The major issue with simply using this generic website is, well its just that-- generic. 97% of the distributors of that network marketing company are using the exact SAME website to promote their business. What makes you different from your competitors who are using the same generic website?
Lets just say a prospect accidentally comes across your website. And miraculously stays there for more than 3 seconds. Besides your name and your contact information, how will your prospects get to know who you are and your story? Lets face it, that prospect will not bother calling up a person they know nothing about, no matter of how interested they are in your company.
The primary reason people join your networking company is because of YOU. Not your company products or compensation plan. So, the only solution to this problem is to own a YOU inc branded website, which is loaded with contents about YOU, your story, and your in-depth knowledge of the world of internet network marketing. This will give your prospect the confidence to join your team in your network marketing company--aware of the value and contributions you add to their success.
Having your own branded website also allows you to customize it so that you can capture your own leads and build a relationship with them. The 2 steps you can use is to:
1) Create a capture page which makes it appealing enough for your prospects to opt-in. To build a capture page you will need website builder software such as Dreamweaver, Bluevoda, or NVU. These software will allow you to edit the HTML with ease and create you own capture page.
The most effective capture pages normally consist of an sub-headline, main-headline, opening, call to action, and opt-in-box. Majority of people uses video capture page and it does fairly well but there are other components that must be considered when creating an effective capture page. I would love to cover this in more detail but given the time crunch, ill post another article about creating a capture page that converts next time.
2) Once the prospects fills in their personal information they are directed to your autoresponders loaded with your personalized follow up messages. When creating follow ups for your autoresponders, you should create messages that informs your prospects on who your are and why you chose your company. You should also give out valuable contents that your prospects could implement in their business. If you succeed in developing a relationship with your list, every now & then, you can promote certain affiliate products and make some sales.
There are more details I wanted to cover in regards to creating an effective capture page & autoresponders but ill will cover those in future articles...
